A while ago I found some white feathers at a charity shop and I decided to take it home and I wondered, what can I do with these?... After placing them on skirts or the top of a tube top I quickly realised that it's a bit difficult for a feathered item of clothing to be functional. Yes they look great but what do you do when you need to wash it? At that time I was also working on making gloves with fingers, I can tell you now trying to sew tiny fingers with tulle was a nightmare, I honestly don't how brands make gloves. After thinking and testing a few failed samples I had the idea of making them without fingers, a simple pattern where your fingers can feel everything, you can still use your phone and not have to take off your gloves and just like that the Fée gloves where created!
I stuck with making white gloves only but when I was at a market I found an old haberdashery store in Walthamstow and they had a bunch of random colours hanging off the ceiling so I decided to nab them and that's when the other colours started. Once I moved to Portugal I started getting custom requests to make in different colours for bridesmaids.
