It's been a while since I posted a blog post. I recently joined substack I thought it would be a nice place to write but of course I also want to spend more time writing here too.
These days, life looks very different for me.
After years of living in the city — chasing dreams, friendships, and new opportunities — I've now settled into the slow rhythm of the Portuguese countryside.
At first, the isolation was daunting. I didn't know anyone, and I am still learning the language, to be honest my Portuguese is very basic. I was taken back to how maybe my mother might have felt when she immigrated to the UK from Bangladesh, not knowing anyone, not understanding english and completely reliant on her husband it must have been scary.
In the city, I was always rushing, reaching for something — changing jobs, chasing goals — but often left to feel empty. Now I live for the small moments, maybe I'm romanticising my I'm not sure but I'm surrounded by nature I realise this was what I was searching for all along: the simple beauty of everyday rituals lost in moments of peace.
I'm learning that there's no stopwatch. No deadline for becoming the person you want to be. It's okay to take small, steady steps toward the future, while soaking up the now.

When on a trip with friends we stumbled across a field of flowers that completely melted my heart. Their gentle presence was so moving, I had to return to photograph them for a new product collection I’m working on.
(Photos and details coming soon — I can't wait to share them!)
Every time I spot those blooms now, they warm my heart and bring a smile to my face.
Ok nice chat bye :) X
